What you will do Serves as technical engineering manager within Power Electronics and Power Panel Department that is responsible to design, validate, and maintain various power electronics and power panel products and systems for Johnson Controls' chiller applications. Supervises direct reports to deliver results by adhering Johnson Controls' value. Determines the best techniques, procedures and/or theories as they apply to the development of products and systems. Creates compliance procedures for the development of electrical/electronic circuitry designs. Defines and interprets design specifications; designs electrical/electronic circuitry to meet specified requirements; and analyzes product design requirements and recommends solutions. Prepares and coordinates the release of documentation to support component design and manufacturing. Participates in all aspects of preliminary design and systems architecture and conducts analysis of the cost impacts of proposed modifications, upgrades, and new implementations of application software. Conducts feasibility studies and systems analysis for new applications or major modifications of existing systems. Works with other engineers, designers, and technicians on specific work assignments. Forecasts and schedules work activities and defines processes for repetitive tasks. Acts as the technical lead for troubleshooting field and factory issues on the range of power electronics and power panel products and systems on Johnson Controls' chillers. Travels to visit customers, Johnson Controls' factories, vendors, and/or professional conferences as business needs How you will do it Complies with Johnson Controls' Code of Ethics and policies Effectively utilizes your knowledge, skills, and Johnson Controls' tools Collaborates with global and cross-functional teams Is open minded to receive and offer constructive feedbacks Is flexible to support customers and business What we look for Required Master's degree on Electrical Engineering with specialization on Power Conversion Minimum 15 years of industry experience in the field of Power Conversion Excellent verbal and written skills. $250K -- $500K+
